Obituary: Gerald Richard Grandmaison, age 65, of 1135 Payne Road, Portland, Sumner, TN, passed away at his residence, September 5, 2009. He was born in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, July 31, 1944. He was a custom service representative at Chrysler. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Jean (McCubbin) Grandmaison, of Portland; his mother, Elizabeth Colburn (Bulford) Smith, of Novi, MI; Daughters, Beth (Christopher) Summner of Springfield, TN, Tracey (Sommer) Landers of Murfreesboro, TN; son, James (Mandy) Grandmaison of Portland, TN; sister, Barbara (John) Mulcahey of MI; five grandchildren: Avery, Maddock, Wesley, Benjamin and Brendan. Visitations are 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2009, and 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2009 at Portland Funeral Chapel. He will lie in state at McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, from12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m., September 8, 2009, at McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Alex Jackson officiating. Interment is at Maple Hill Cemetery, Portland, TN.
