After graduating from Southfield High School, I attended Michigan State University and majored in Physical Education.  I eventually graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

Fred and I married in 1966.  We have 2 children: Ed & Kristin.  Both children married during the summer of 2000.  Ed adopted his son, Dima from Kazakhstan.  Kristin has 2 children: Siena and Gabe.

In 2004, after living a somewhat sedimentary lifestyle, we decided to lose weight and become more active.  Our 1st overnight hiking trip was a "rim-to-rim" hike in the Grand Canyon.  We also enjoy bicycling both road & mountain.  We're active with the League of Michigan Bicyclists.  Our favorite ride was the 25th Anniversary Shoreline West from New Buffalo to Mackinaw City (9days/500 miles).  In 2009 we biked the Mickelson Trail from Edgemount to Deadwood in South Dakota.

Our favorite trips have  been with REI Adventures.  Our last trip was the Tour  du Mont Blanc- 13 days of hiking in the ALPs.

Our goal is to remain heathly and active!

My path following Southfield High was MSU where I earned a BA in Advertising and minors in Marketing, Journalism and Psychology. I served as a Resident Assistant to help cover costs of my education. (In my Senior year, my Dad surprised me with a suggestion that I spend my last year in an apartment with friends...dear friend, Jane Herrick and I, along with 2 other friends, enjoyed a GREAT senior year off campus!)

Directly out of college I joined the fabulous J L Hudson Company and over 10 years, rose through the 'copy management route' to Assistant Advertising Manager. (During this time I married, and 5 years later, divorced.) In 1976 I was recruited to Washington DC to work for a very upscale specialty retailer as Director of Advertising and PR. (This assignment was all about black tie events and exclusive shopping for high end customers....a far cry from other venues I'd worked in.) And, hard-to-believe-my 8th floor office looked right over the White House and out to 4 other monuments. Also hard to believe, but I had my own private bathroom with shower - never to be repeated again in my career. It was a very special time in my career.

In 1979 I accepted the position of VP, Sales Promotion with the very creative 'marketing driven' retailer, Joseph Horne Company in Pittsburg, PA. There, I worked with a team who was formerly with Hudson's and it was a great time! Lot's of turn around challenge and exciting creative challenges.

Next came an unexpected move to NYC to work for Lane Bryant Retail Stores as VP, Marketing. It was the time to make big changes in the 'large size' market and we found ways to make large sized women acceptable photographically - the challenge was daunting but we changed the face of large size marketing forever. No more illustration for the large size gals!

Finally, I was recruited in 1981 to Chicago, a market I had wanted to live and work in since graduation from MSU. I accepted a position of VP, Marketing and Sales Promotion with the Charles A. Stevens Company - a high end women's and girl's specially chain with an eight story store on State Street, in the block between Marshall Field's and Carson Pirie Scott. We had 27 other locations around Chicagoland. I had responsibility for marketing, advertising, in-store visual merchandising, visual marketing,  PR and store design.

Following my move to Chicago, I met and married my husband of 25 years, Fred Biasetti. Fred was a restaurant owner and his father before him - Italian fare and great steaks. He passed away in 2008.

In recent years I've worked for Sears as Executive Creative Director of the Advertising Group, SrVP, Creative, Client Services and Business Development for 3 Chicago-based agencies, and currently - my own business, The Judy Biasetti Group, an amalgamation of 8 small to midsize agencies, of which combined services are broad in nature.

Though I never had any children, my brothers, Don, Mark and Todd Wuestewald, whom some of you know, have generously shared their families with me over the years.

Life has been unbelievably good to me.....

Looking forward to reconnecting with all of you after all these years!

Hello, I hope to see you at the reunion. I think it will be great fun to see what has happened to everyone after 50 years. Everyone will have interesting stories to share.

I can't say my story turned out as I dreamed (because I did not have any dreams) but life turned out much better than I could have hoped.

I went to Western Michigan Univ. after SHS and graduated December 1966 with a BBA, majoring in Personnel. I also met my wife there and we married in December 1966 as well. I was also commissioned a 2LT in the Army through ROTC, but delayed going active to stay at WMU and in 8/68 graduated with a MBA. I entered the Army in 10/68 and was assigned to Ft. Stewart, GA after attending the Adjutant General Corp branch school and remained there until my release in 10/70.

After working a year with Michigan Bell, I joined Ford Motor Company and worked in personnel or human resources for 27 years, most of it in Dearborn. I feel fortunate to have worked there, but was ready to leave when the opportunity came.

My wife Pat and I have two daughters. The oldest daughter lives nearby so we get to spend lots of time with her and her two daughters (17 and 13). The other daughter lives in Louisville so we make it a point to stop and visit her family on our drives to and from Florida twice a year.

In 1985 we purchased a small house on Lake Columbia as a vacation home. When I retired in 1999, we sold the house for $1 and rebuilt on the same lot and moved their permanently in 2001. Besides enjoying the lake, I spend time volunteering with RSVP, DAV and Habitat for Humanity, exercise, read and play golf.

I began this reunion project with the thought that if I built a large contact list I could generate some interest behind having a reunion and then hoped to hand it off to someone else. It has been fun searching and finding classmates and I have been reasonably successful doing that, but I failed to find that other person to chair this effort. Oh well.

After graduation I attended Northern Michigan University for 2 years. While there I pledged Delta Sigma Phi, worked 3 part-time jobs and played semipro hockey for the "Marrquette Flyers". Dropped out of school to find myself, but the Government found me first. After receiving a draft notice, I enlisted in the US Air Force where I spent 4 years as an Operating Room Tech, met and married Marjorie a 2nd Lt. RN. We were blessed with 4 children-Kristine, Jason, Jeffrey and Jeremy.
After military service we moved back to Michigan where I worked for Eaton County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy for 2 years. Moved to Sarasota Florida in 1969 and worked for 1 year as an Insurance & Employment Investigator for Retail Credit Company. Managed a 7-11 store while taking flying lessons and got my pilot’s license.
Worked for UPS for 3 1/2 years. I started my truck driving career with Gulf Oil Corp. where I worked for 4 1/2 years. Bought my own truck and drove as an Independent Owner-Operator for 10 + years.
Marjorie and I divorced after 20 years and in 1991 I married Jeanine. In 2005, Jeanine passed away and I remained widowed for 6 1/2 years.
Recently reunited with my 1s t Love from High School and will proudly show her off at the reunion.

1962 Graduation:
After High School I went to college for a couple of years; I decided to take a break from school to decide what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I wanted to travel and see a bit of the world so I applied and was hired as a flight attendant by American Airlines. I was stationed in Chicago, and just never left as it felt like home. I met my husband and my best friend. We have traveled in England, German, Italy, Greece, Spain and Mexico. I worked with the airlines for 5 years, 3 years as a flight attendant and 2 years on the ground in HR. We had 3 wonderful boys together who I am proud to say are all college graduates. Joe the oldest graduated from NIU with a business degree and has worked in manufacturing and is now working for Wisconsin Electric and Gas. Dan graduated from North Central College with a teaching degree and went on to complete his Masters Degree. Dan is teaching and coaching wrestling and football at Bolingbrook High School, in the Chicago suburbs. Brian went to Lewis University and graduated with a degree in Finance and is working for a consulting firm. While raising my children I returned to school and work completing 2 Associate Degree's. I have worked as an administrative assistant in a variety of areas which includes: health care, food services and manufacturing. To say the least it has been an interesting journey. We have been blessed with (3) beautiful granddaughters. My husband has recently gone into business for himself, Bulco, Inc., as a manufacturer’s rep.; and I continue to work in the health care field. We have not decided to retire yet. I understand the “new” retirement age is 80!
As for me, I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life!

I married soon after high school and had my first son Kevin. The marriage lasted less than a year but thank goodness Kevin is still going strong so I guess it was worth the pain.  I staid in the Detroit area and married again in 1966 which produced my second son Ted.  That marriage lasted 17 years and during those years we moved to the St. Louis area where I remained for 20 years and picked up a St. Louis Cardinals passion that continues today.  I opened a Stretch and Sew franchise there and later decided to go to nursing school.
I married  my soulmate Curt in St. Louis and gained two lovely stepdaughters Leslie and Laura. We have since lived in Hot Spring AR, San Clemente CA, and then to Arizona to prepare for retirement.  Since we are both in the medical field we have had the ability to move easily so have taken advantage of that to explore life.
My nursing carrer has been interesting. I worked ICU and open heart recovery for about 15 years until moving  into outpatient facilities where I still work on a part time basis today. I also spent some time in medical sales.  I have gone from running to code situations to hoping I won't have to run.
I have loved each place I have lived for different reasons but in moving to AZ we have found friends that are family to us.  We only wish our children were closer.
Our oldest son Kevin is in southern Ca and works for Microsoft doing something that I have no clue of since I'm only marginally tech savy.  He has 4 children ages 22 to 10 and is a loving and generous man.
Second son Ted, who lives in Chesterfield Mo., is a pharmacy sales rep and has worked as a model on the side every since he got out of collge. That's him as light to medium on the Just for Men haircloring box and TV ads.  He gave us two beautiful granddaughters and a share in a grandson from his wife's first marriage.
Leslie is in Dallas, finishing her masters in divinity studies and the mother of one amazing son, Ryan.
Laura, the youngest, remains in St. Louis and is single.
I stay active with part time nursing, dance, volunteer work, and friends. Currently taking classes in Tai Chi, French, informational Judiasm, and Creative visualization. I walk or bike for extra exercise.  Hope to get back to hiking after a hiatus due to  a knee fracture last year  Anything to keep from staying home and cleaning house! I think I am the original "restless legs" poster child.
I'm so impressed with the accomplishments of my classmates!  So proud of all of you and so sad for those who have not been able to take a longer path in life. It is eye opening to see the list of those we have cared for but not stayed in touch with.  Another lesson learned.

I graduated from Hillsdale College in Jan 1966, started first teaching job in Taylor, MI, with 42 second graders. Got married two months later.

Taught School for 7 years, lived in Wyandotte, MI and my husband at the time  worked at Ford in Dearborn.

While living in Novi, I was one of the first middle school teachers. I had  my first child in 1973 and the fifth was born in 1981. I never worked out of the home until my divorce in 1990 after 24 years, but I sure worked hard 24/7, 365 days a year taking care of my gang, while living on 25 acres in Pinkney and also keeping up a summer home in LeLand north of Traverse City.

I had a full house: 3 sons, 2 daughters and now have 11 grandchildren.

Moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL., after the divorce,  started my own educational materials store, shared my life for 10 years with my partner in the business.

In 2001 I was on my own  again and closed the business and worked for various retail stores and a local newpaper. My youngest daughter, then 19 moved down here to live with me and now is married with kids and lives in DeLand.

Met my last  husband, Les in 2002, married in 2003, sold my condo on the beach, put my mustang convertable along with the rest of our lives in storage and traveled-a lot. Over 50K miles camping in all of our states. What a beautiful country we have! Love the mountains and the beaches the best.

Been lucky enough to have been to Hawaii, Alaska, Cosemel, Jamaica, St. Johns in the Virgin Islands. I love to snorkel and sail.

I have a nice new home on a lake near Tampa Florida,  still love to dance and go to the beach and enjoy the ocean. I can drive and handel a 30' RV-and still love to have adventures.

As I said my youngest daughter lives here in FL., so I get to spend a lot of time with 2 of the 11 grandchildren.

Happy to still be using my origianl knees after all these many years. Glad the doctors and my parents stopped me from cheerleading, jumping horses and toe dancing in about 1oth grade  - but I never stopped social dancing, just slowed down a lot in my first 24 year marriage. But I have been having a lot of fun these past 21 years.

Who knows what the next 21 will bring?

Hope to see a lot of you at the Reunion next year.

While all of you were moving all over the world, I stayed in Southfield. After a couple years at Brandeis University, I taught high school for a year outside of Jerusalem, and having run out of money, returned home to Wayne State and then Wayne Law School where I found Mike Weiss, Jim Kohl, Jim Borin and others.   When, in 1968, the law school said it would give a JD degree only to those who already had a BA, I finished my BA in Dec. 68 and received the JD in June 69.                My wife, Caroline, and I raised our 2 sons in Southfield and they both graduated Southfield-Lathrup and now live in Chicago. I was elected to the Southfield City Council and later as District Judge. For more of the boring details, see www.neutralmediator.com               Now I’m actively dedicated to trying to be retired. I’m filling in as a Visiting Judge in Circuit, Probate & District Courts, conducting mediations and acting as a Court Appointed Receiver.   More importantly, Caroline and I visit our kids and grandsons in Chicago and try to spend half the year near Tampa and the other half lakeside in Oakland County.   I do lots of kayaking, stand-up paddling, roller-blading, various exercise classes, pickleball, reading, stained glass, pottery, watercolor, dancing, traveling and skyping with grandsons. Third grandson was born September, 2011.

After High School I enlisted in the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Div., Ft. Bragg, NC in the Payroll/Travel Pay department. After discharge I attended Ferris State for three years and then applied to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Five years later I was a licensed journeyman inside wireman and was lucky enough to work as an electrician during the tail end of the Alaskan Pipeline. What an awesome experience! I was then headed to work on a new Space Shuttle site at Vandenberg Air Force Base in CA in 1984. I came to love the beauty of the outdoors, sailing and fishing through friendships with co-workers. Over a 20 year period I worked and travelled CA, MT, WA, WY, CO, NM , AK, MI, FL. I was able to fit in three marriages as well but I am back to being a bachelor now.
In 1991, while stopped at a red light, I was rear ended by a Dodge Maxivan and broke my neck. In a 9 hour operation, two cervical vertebrae were removed and replaced with prefabricated bone material and a titanium plate. I survived with the ability to walk and have hand/arm control but have been disabled since 1992.
My father had dreams he shared with me that included visiting San Juan Islands and owning a boat small enough to trailer. While working on the pipeline I formulated a plan to surprise him with a boat to make the trip to the Islands possible. He agreed and made meticulous plans for our trip together. He died of a stroke two weeks before our journey was to begin. I decided to follow his passion and follow through with our plans. I named my boat the “Raymond Maxwell” in honor of my father and she has been my home for many years. No longer able to be an electrician I consider myself an expert at Gunkholeing which means “fiddling around traveling up and down along the NW coast”. I presently stay in Friday Harbor, WA.
